SPEAKS TO US ABOUT EVIL

Verses 12-14 have been associated with Judas' betrayal to Jesus.

This holy city had problems as we do today: lies, destruction, violence, threats, malice, abuse, alcohol and drug abuse etc.

The church can help fight the battles of the streets or world through prayer.

While praying for these sins, pray for your own sins in Jesus Name.

Take the challenge - Read a Psalm a day and allow the words to influence your prayer life by bringing you closer in your walk with God.

While walking or driving through your neighborhood or the one surrounding your church--carry a Bible with you to read random passages of Psalm 55 in the Bible to influence you as you drive walk, meditate and pray.

Allow Psalm 55 to guide you while bringing those living in the dwellings on your walking path into prayer.

Spiritual Renewal begins with a vision from God.

It sparks when we talk to our Father in heaven.

Drawing Light into a darkened world of a non-believer

connecting the lost lambs

to Jesus Christ!

Love ~ Corinthians 13: 4-13

 
⁴ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵ It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. ⁶ Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. ⁷ It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
 ⁸ Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. ⁹ For we know in part and we prophesy in part, ¹⁰ but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. ¹¹ When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. ¹² Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
 ¹³ And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Clearly God's Word proclaims from this chapter of the Bible that God values love, patience, kindness, unselfishness, hatred for evil and love for the truth, honesty and endurance in righteousness much more than faith to move mountains of all heights.  Or much needed to reach goals within the church.

The greatest in the kingdom of God will be the ones who are great inward godliness who show genuine Love for God and His people.  God's love pouring out of a believer's heart through the Holy Spirit is much greater than faith, hope or anything else in life.  But know this, of faith, hope and love, love is the greatest of these.

Feeling down and out? Had a fight with someone you love? Turn to the church where love is demonstrated.  You may even find counsel there within the sermon preached on Sunday.  Encouragement is a wonderful gift that many of our friends possess. If one friend is off limits right now -- call on another to lift your spirits.  Let the storm pass before approaching the angered person.  Wait a little while -- then when the skies are blue and the sun is a shining -- make this moment the time to apologize and mend your relationship. Do not bring up what led to the fight. Just say:"I'm sorry and say it like you mean it!"
Pray about it before making your attempt.  Ask others to pray for you and that relationship that needs attention.  Before long, you will be laughing again together.   In His Peace!

Matthew: 28: 18-20

18All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the *Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

The people of God have been promised power and authority to go across the whole

earth and proclaim God's Holy Word.           see verses 18 and 19

Jesus command of waiting is a must before the promise of the Holy Spirit that comes from the Father at Pentecost.  Of course we cannot expect His power to come when we go out to the nations if all do not follow the pattern Peter spoke of in Acts 1:4,

Luke 24:47-49, and Acts 1:8, 2:4.

1.  The church must make disciples of all nations sending out missionaries all

over the world.                                                           Acts 13: 1-4.

2.  Preaching the gospel centered on Reconciliation was the given ministry to the church for all people to be reconciled to God.  Romans 5:25

While waiting for Jesus return from heaven      Acts 3:19-20; 1 Th 1:10

3.  Our spiritual energies must not solely be focused on the growth of the church,

but on disciples that separate themselves from the world, follow His commands

and Christ with their heart, mind and will.          John 8:31

~ Reflect on the verses above

~ Be Thankful for the believers in Christ who were baptized with water.

   They have renounced the world.

~ Prayerfully thank Jesus for His presence within you in person of the Holy Spirit

   and His Word                                                          John 14:16, 23, 26

Strong's pronunciation: (Ham-ar-toe-loss) is an archer's

meaning for missing his mark; or a wander's/traveler

going from his familiar road or territory.

Now you know he is on an unfamiliar road and taking

a wrong turn that could make him lose his way.

This word is of one devoted toward sin by his or her

choice, a law breaker whose thinking or thoughts,

words, and deeds are the opposite or opposed to

God's Laws.

So where do you think this person will end up

if we saved Christians do nothing to redirect

a fellow Christian who just had a change

of heart because of some minor indifference

out of anger?

Jude 1:20-25 NKJV

²⁰ But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
²² And on some have compassion, making a distinction; ²³ but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

    ²⁴ Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
      And to present you faultless
      Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
       ²⁵ To God our Savior,

      Who alone is wise,

      Be glory and majesty,
      Dominion and power,

      Both now and forever.

~Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead a familiar or not 

fellow Christian into your path this week that you may

re-direct them with compassion onto the road everlasting.

Responsibility To Pray

The Bible scripture: 1Thessalonians 5:17 says:

17pray continually

A. Because prayer is the most important part

of the thankfulness God requires of us.

And also because God gives His grace

and Holy Spirit only to those who pray

continually and groan inwardly,

asking God for these gifts

Note: "Pray Continually"; does not mean to

contantly utter  formal prayers.  It does imply

recurrent prayer from our hearts of all kinds

and for all occasions through each day

including conversations and needs

that arise naturally with a mind focused

on God.
